Who we are
Going the extra mile for animals across Yorkshire and Lancashire
We have a long history of providing high quality veterinary care to small and large animals in and around Keighley – so long in fact, that we’ve been going since our founder George Carter established our practice in 1877!
George retired in 1910, but we continued to thrive under the trusty gaze of many talented vets over the next few decades. By 1994, the practice you know today was born, with our purpose-built premises developed on Aireworth Road.
Today, our Keighley site offers a state-of-the-art small animal and equine service, with 24/7 care for your pets and horses .
With small and large animal departments under one roof, we’ve expanded to become a sophisticated facility with a broad range of specialist equipment, including a CT scanner, digital radiology, endoscopy and ultrasound facilities.
Our friendly small animal team can advise on everything from preventative treatments and x-rays to orthopaedic and laparoscopic surgeries. We go out of our way to make everyone feel at home, as shown by our happy hound clinics, which help ease the nerves of dogs prone to anxiety.
Our experienced equine department also cover a large area of Yorkshire and Lancashire, and offer a wide range of services, including routine and complex surgeries, and health plans designed around your yard's needs.
Vital to what we do are our fantastic team, who are bound together by our shared values: honesty, kindness, compassion, enthusiasm and patience.
You may have spotted us at the Keighley dog show, local agricultural shows, equestrian events, riding centres and client evenings.
That’s because we love taking an active role in our community, through supporting local events, visiting schools and nurseries and helping local sixth form students by offering work experience placements and attending career days.
We’re proud to be a sustainable practice, recycling whenever we can and working with our fellow VetPartners practices to find new ways to be more environmentally friendly.
Don’t just take our word for it! We’re always happy to arrange for new and existing clients to take a tour of our practice and discuss how we can help your small and large animals.
